Will Tokina Service Centre service the lens if buy from artworkfoto? If no, then better buy from TK Photo.

Agent for Tokina is CP. You can give them a ring. If artworkfoto say it is a grey set, you will not get warranty with CP. CP may service the lens but at a fee.

If it is a grey set and CP willing to service the lens. Then it worth to consider to buy from artworkfoto with that savings.

just to confirm this is considered EF-S mount right?

11-16 is for ef-s. Also usable on ef mount but at 16mm without vignett

if possible get from hongkong.. I got it for around $800 with 2 years international warranty..

Hi all, I read of a comment around page 3, that the lens should not be used on a full frame body, i read the rest of the thread, but didnt see a specific ans

may i ask why is it so?

This lens is made for DX format so if you use it on the FX format, it will have vignetting. Some said at 16mm, vignetting will not be there....

really? i was thinking of getting that but purchasing a lens and only using one focal length, i would probably be better off purchasing a prime? ...

If you are on FX do consider the FX uwa lenses.

11-16 is meant for crop sensor cameras. But some of us who owns both crop and FF bodies and also own the Toki before getting the FF, the ability to use 15 and 16mm of this lens on FF is a very pleasant surprise.

I am getting the tokina as I am thinking of future upgrade to FF. 16mm on FF is wide enough for landscape.

I recently purchased this lens from HK. Still trying to get some use to it…
Here's some photos i took with this lens

16mm on FF is wide enough for landscape in my own opinion. Is equal to approx. 11mm on your DX. Do you think is wide enough for you?

The only thing is ur 11-16 f2.8 becomes a 16mm f2.8 prime. BTW, u can still use 11-15mm except there will be vignetting.
