To the Mods and Admins,

I appreciate the effort that your team has put in make CS a place as a bona fide forum for noobs and experienced photogs to gather and share ideas.

However in light of the recent events that have been ongoing in CS, will it be possible for the mod and admin team to a least give us a direction that you might be looking to steer the forum? In that sense let us know your thoughts and the suggestions that you are currently looking at right now for us to help you as well.

With the knowledge of which direction you are looking at, at least we as forum members can think of ideas and suggestions for your perusal in the direction you are looking at.

Just a thought :)

scandal599, u no need to sleep 1 ar...

anyway, we mods and admins have been discussing about these issues as well, in fact, constantly.

we'll try to encompass every aspect of photography, but sometimes there is people abusing the system, so we have to redesign and present another better layout.

give us more time, and some changes are on the way. Thanks for your suggestions thou.

Btw, in fact, why not just give us some ideas on where do you wish for the improvement?

what do you mean by "sometimes", should be all the time

To be honest, as the forum I believe is running close to full capacity, in actual fact I think that it mught be advisable to increase the number of mods. While I am not exactly sure how many mods are actively monitoring, but with so much happening, it is quite tough on a small team who are actively monitoring.

Just a sugesstion, dunno if it might work though. :)

not as easy as it seems thou... cos most, if not all have full time job, me included...

apparently, only 1 full time student among us... iirc...

its not easy to find people who can volunteer our time and effort, get smeared and carry on without much complains... esp we also have our other commitments.

I believe being admin/mod is quite thankless. You clear the mess, but people wun even bother. But if you do something that they object, you get tonnes of complaints.

Yet, it is very self-fulfilling to be able to serve the community at large. :bsmilie:

Kudos to the entire CS team for putting in so much effort. The response time is something that I am truly amazed.:bigeyes::angel:

That is true. It is a thankless job: damn if you do, damn if you don't. But seeing that the mods and admins have a lot on their plate...figured additonal mods or admins might help ease a bit.

In so far as the job goes, have to give the mods credit. In any case, any considration on a subscription fee on a yearly basis? Might help to defray the cost a little? That might get me blasted ans slammed, but I think it might be feasible. By helping to defray the cost, we might be able to get a better infrastructure for the forum in the long run. Just a hunch.;)

look at it the other way, now we don't have subscription fees, already have so demanding members... imagine we take a fee, i think they expect us to be their personal maids.

lets leave things as it is now. afterall, we just hope that everyone enjoy photography.

don't mix fun & hobby with politics.

:) Alright boss...will leave for now. Will try to think of someting feasible.;p

oh ya, this isn't a job... all of us are volunteers... no pay, no bonus, just pure commitments.

actually we have alot of mods, some prefer to be less vocal unlike me who just like to express my POV.
