Jan Transfer Speculation:
United have been again linked with a swoop for Southampton's Welsh international defender Gareth Bale.

The 17-year-old left-back is seen as one of the best prospects in Britain, a classy defender with an eye for goal and a fantastic repetoire of free-kicks - and United are among the cluster of clubs monitering his progress.

The Cardiff-born prodigy has five goals already this season for Southampton, and also scored on his competitive international debut. Incredibly, five of the six strikes have been free-kicks.

Elsewhere, United have allegedly been rebuffed in their attempts to sign Norwegian starlet Havard Nordtveit from Haugesund.

A statement from the Norwegian club claimed that, while talks had ended without agreement, the door remains ajar for future negotiations.

Usual suspects Owen Hargreaves and Fernando Torres continue to be linked with Old Trafford, although Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid remain vocal in their intent to keep hold of the pair.

Let's hope the devils maintain the winning momentum tonight when they take on Reading. Looks like SAF will continue to use fringe players, resting some of the key ones, during the hectic and packed schedule around this period. If Ronaldo plays, lets hope he will wreck havoc on the Reading defence. Basing on his recent red-hot form, he's capable of scoring or assisting in getting the goals flowing. Go devils, go........

I think he will probably start on the bench! It will be better when been introduce on the later part he most likely to explode!!!:bsmilie: Think Carrick will be back in action!

Giggs, Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Saha and Gary Neville were all rested during the Wigan match. Now, with Vidic and Scholes suspended, Carrick, coming back from an injury, is likely to play with together those rested in the previous match. They will probably play half or the whole match.

Hmmm..... think they should conserve some strength for the next game at St James Park! before their week break before Villa game.:dunno:

Ronaldo is really in form, 2 goals today again!

Yeah! Chelsea drew 2-2, so that's a 6 points lead now!

really happy for Solskaer to get onto the scoring sheet again consecutively!

He's one of those rare forwards who have so much to offer and his loyalty is simply one of the few resolute ones.

i think if we take shoot accuracy : conversion to goal ratio, he's prolly one of the higher ones...

unfortunately his knee cap ....haiz......

good new year to begin with!

wooo hooo!!! chelski sank again..

ole and ronaldo struck again.. ;)

Wah that Silvestre relly kuku already. Hehehe 6 pts lead now. Ronaldo really on fire.

ole is really something.

Haha Roman got no choice but to take out wallet and buy a defender liao. John Terry is really very important to them. poor man city, chelsea will probably raid/rape them again for their defender.

We should sell Silvestre to them for cheap! :bsmilie: He really din help himself after being out of the team for so long, came back and made 2 big mistakes that lead to Utd conceeding. I think his heart not at old trafford liao.

Well done and really very strong run for the lads...hope they can carry on....currently no one seems to be able to stop Ronny now....he outscored all the EPL strikers at the moment....I hope Fergie can use him wisely...maybe just play him on second half for the next few games to prevent him getting injured....Rooney again dissapoint....he seems to lost confidence at the moment....cannot shoot...cannot dribber and passing also miserable at time......maybe MU should rest him also on the next round to freshen things up....Saha should be pretty hungry now after watching his team mates free scoring in the last two games....Solsjaer did greately to support the striking department....as for Silvest....I don't know why Fergie still hasn't lost patient with him with 2 big errors to concede goals in 2 games continuously....nearly cost Utd the win :dunno:

Chelsea is in disarray right now and fortunately for MU to capitalize and pull away....every team will go through this patch somehow or rather....we seen Arsenal, Liverpool all gone through that....and we hope the lost to Arsenal and Hammer was the only downturn of MU...come on MU....just win another 15 more games and the title is your(can affor to loose twice now)

yah, gotta love such loyal players. nowadays, hard to find such rare gem!
after so long, his finish is still as confident and accurate as before  wasted he hit the upright, that shot was nice placing.

and lucky thing we got 2 goal cushion when silvestre made the mistake :nono: hope we wont see much of him from now on....

Ronaldo in red-hot form. What a phenomenal scoring record - 6 goals in 3 matches. I don't think Drogba, a striker, can match that even though he is the leading scorer in EPL with 13 goals. Ronaldo is just one goal behind and he's only a winger!

sometimes SAF must knock his own head abit...

we lost out on another talent to WIGAN!!!!

haiyo.......

then again, we lost out on Ronaldhino anywayz :D

:bsmilie:

Henry was also a winger initially....maybe one day Ronaldo will be the lead striker for MU that can bang in 30 goals per season :D

man utd can do without Rooney but cannot without Ronaldno , like fergie says ' i will pay for tickets just to see him'. he can reach Ronaldihno in the following years to come . where is Saha by the way?

i feel ronaldo cant be compared to ronaldinho. ronaldinho is in a class of his own, and i doubt ronaldo will ever come close.

ronaldinho issnt just about his dribbling and techniques, but also his passing, 1-touches, back heels, and last but not least, he got a great footballing brain. smart player
