mabbe not a tripod section lah, but a general accessories one? to discuss peripherals like tripods, monopods, filters, filter wallets, bags, cases, storage (dry cabins, etc), that kinda stuff. anything that doesn't relate directly to the main camera brands or to camera + lenses.

I think all this can be discussed under Other Equipment - no need to create an entire new sub-forum. Will update the sub-forum description to include accessories, blah blah blah ....

The latest tripod post (seems like one a day) is discussed under consumers, the previous one under newbies corner etc.

And a lot of times they are the same type of question.

By creating a tripod subforum, you can push all tripod related stuff into one area where newbies can browse easily instead of asking the same question.

Hopefully, you might REDUCE the number of posts about tripods because all the previous tripod questions are easily viewable (whereas in say, Newbies they may be buried by all the new posts)

The treads are scattered all over because people don't read (or are too lazy to read) the titles. Sometimes, is just too ambigious to classify them.

If you start one for tripods, then people will start wanting one for CF cards, batteries, printers, scanners, bags, etc. Where does it end?
