It is now reported that Jay Chou lost abt $2,000,000 recently
I take it as his small contribution to our nation building :p

frankly all gamblers who lost BIG are all big losers, no need to pity them.

If any 'Retirees' as adults... haven't learned from their own life experience of 60 years or more.... that gambling doesn't always means winning, Shouldn't that be their own fault ??

That's the problem with gambling, once you start, regardless if you win or loss, caution is sometimes thrown to the wind.

Which is why one shouldn't start gambling at the 1st place.....

I've been to 3 overseas Casino so far.... Genting, Malaysia... and 2 other on Tasmania, Aust. When in with a buget of only $50 local money. Win... 1 or 2 times beyond $50.... walk away, lose beyond the $50.... walk away. Don't even want to think about 'recoup my money back' or 'I could have gain more'.... times up, its time to go.

Watch my old man loss everything with his gambling habit..... so learnt from a young age that gambling doesn't pay. But I'm realistic enough to know that you CAN'T stop gambling addict from gambling.... believed me, my family tried. With or without Casino in S'pore, gamblers will find a way to gamble.... in some backlanes gambling dens or some overseas casino. So, at the end of the day, the Gambler have only himself/herself to blame.

My 2-Cents worth....

I mean what is there to be surprise of ??

My dad's friend lost total of 55 million in Macau before, mind you its 55 million USD through out 10 days of gambling..
