if demand is there, am gonna post up a thread on the MO section asap.

You can try posting up a thread there first, but I'm definitely in for a few rolls. Will ask my friends too.

Keep me in the loop pls. I will be keen for a few rolls should the final price with the added shipping cost is right. =)

also missed the previous MO, would be keen to order an assortment.. appreciate if you could keep me posted via PM.. tks mate for offering to organise ;)

TS - thanks for offering to organise the MO, but i'd suggest that you setup a thread in the Member Non-Profit Mass Orders section.

Setting up the thread there does not obligate you to do the MO, you can still withdraw if there are insufficient orders for the MO to justify the cost / savings. But the required transparancy in setting up a thread there does help protect both the person organising the MO and the those who want to order, esp when money is involved.

Greetings,

With regards to the previous MO that I conducted,I do encounter a few hiccups thys would like to share it with everyone. If this is the first time your ordering from freestylephoto, they normally won't accept any other kind of payment other than through telegraphic transfer. When telegraphic transfer is concerned, you have to go through your bank and they will charge you a sum for bank charges(your own bank and freestylephoto bank both charge under you). There is also telegraphic transfer fee on top of the bank charges.

Do also take note that any order above SGS$400..you will need to take into consideration of tax payment on your part. My personal encounter is I am not charged when the goods arrived, thus thinking that I've escaped from the need to pay tax. However after distributing all the goods to all the CS members, only did I receive letter from Fedex asking me to make payment for the tax. As I feel it's unethical to ask the members to start paying me again,I decided to absorb the tax charges.

Do consider all this and you're good to go....

Hi Shahlan,

I was part of the previous MO and would like to chip in for the tax. Do let me know how we can sort this out.

Mike

yah tax normally comes after the delivery. Fed ex wont be able to advice till a later date so always must keep in mind about the tax charges.

woah, thats quite in-effecient on their part.

I used to work in the airport free trade zone & I can tell if you need to pay tax or not on the spot for express companies like FedEx/DHL/UPS.

I dunno about the pratice now but back then, the delivery courier would collect GST on the spot, if not, no goods...

Erm, there are ways around GST even if full valued is declared on the customs invoice but............. Sorry I cant say it here!!!!!!! hahahahaha!
I dont wanna get into trouble with the law!

By the way, off topic abit but I would like to make it clear to you guys. Even if you ship anything as a gift/personal items, you still get taxed according to the customs invoice/declared value!
You can put a high value on there to claim insurance when things go south but say dont wanna pay GST!
GST is sure to kena if CIF(cost, insurance, freight) more than SGD400 be it gift or personal item.

I was in DHL few years back..but was more involved in chasing the corporate client. Because of the billing cycle, we will normally bill the courier charges in advance, there could be time when the tax charges managed to come in together with our billing cycle, we will just invoice the client together in such cases/
As taxes is not imposed by the courier company and they do not profit from it, most of the time, they wont really emphasize much in billing the client together...

yah....so best if MO can be kept below a certain amount.

actually, if one is willing to experiment, there are bargains, for example:

(shown without shipping)

c-41 B&W (rumored to be XP2) (24 exp): 1.59 USD http://www.ultrafineonline.com/ch400bwcfi35.html
Agfa 100 (24 exp): $1.49 USD http://www.ultrafineonline.com/agapx100bwfi.html
Agfa 400 (24 exp): $1.59 USD http://www.ultrafineonline.com/agapx400bwfi.html
HP5+ (2 rolls per pack): $4.59 (or 2.30 oer roll) http://www.freestylephoto.biz/1169959-Ilford-HP5+-400-iso-35mm-x-36-exp.-2-pack?cat_id=402
Kodak Plus-x Private Label (24 exp): $1.89USD http://www.freestylephoto.biz/192241-Arista-Premium-BandW-100-ISO-35mm-x-24-exp.?cat_id=402
Kodak Tri-x Private Label (36 Exp): $2.59USD http://www.freestylephoto.biz/192364-Arista-Premium-BandW-400-ISO-35mm-x-36-exp.?cat_id=402

the above is the strongest reason for mass sale...

as for 120 format, i found ruby's pricing more competitive than online.

I am currently standardising on Plus-x for 135 and Tmax 400 for 120 format, hence not looking to experiment, although HP5+ looks mighty tempting.

actually...i forgot to mention this:

(before shipping)

20 x Fuji Acros 100 (24 exp) = $29.99 USD http://www.freestylephoto.biz/19424...-exposures-20-Roll-Pack-Short-date?cat_id=402
20 x Fuji Neopan 400 (24 exp) = $29.99 USD http://www.freestylephoto.biz/19424...-exposures-20-Roll-Pack-Short-date?cat_id=402
10 x Fuji Acros 100 + 10 x Fuji Neopan 400 (24 Exp) = $29.99 USD http://www.freestylephoto.biz/19424...5mm-x-24-exposures-10+10-Roll-Pack?cat_id=402

I love Acros 100. Fuji Neopan 400, well, a bit too grainy vs Tri-x. (imo, i know many people like neopan 400)
