Dun worry lah, you won't die buying the Modulus Set - 12 yet, but most probably will be after she asks you to buy something for her which cost >= Modulus Set - 12 ;p

I also don't dare to let my gf know I may spend 2K on tripod and ball head

2k

Thanks for heads up, nightwolf. I sure hope the price will be attractive enough and there is a opening discount ;p Most of the members of Nikonian.org and Fred Miranda think very highly of TTP bags and I actually only thought of getting my Change Up after surfing FM. I was also influenced by them to get Gitzo tripod... "Tio" BBB virus liao lah.

first came across this brand on Luminous Landscapes.

http://luminous-landscape.com/reviews/accessories/international.shtml

subsequently, i read abt it in the usual overseas photo mags. surprisingly, AFAIK, no one in the local mags picked up on this bag, considering that nowadays, airport security ard the world are quite nazi in enforcing carry-on sizes.... :sweatsm:

heh... looking to add to ur collection of bags, now dat u've sold ur kata? ;p

So finally got a local distributor... Wonder what's the cost when selling here.... Blew a hole in my wallet when I got it... Don't think the hole has been patched up as yet... :P

no idea. i just heard abt it from a reliable grape on the vine too. dun think the distributor will release prices any time soon.

Bro, kind of agreed with you. Of all the magazines (Photography ones), none mentioned about TT. But TT had been established sometime ago.

Yap sold my Kata away. Fully converted to TT bags and accessories. Maybe a D3 to match the bag color. :bsmilie::sweat:

ok la i got her something more liao. she wold be a happy gf for a quite a long time liao ;p

but bro 2k, i know liao 3540XLS+wimberly head right. ;p you doing birding??

Yah, very expensive Tripod and Head.

2k

Do it once and for all mah. I expect the tripod and ball head to last for decades. Just like bags, get the best and be done with it as well. Next bag, Airport Addicted or International  But that will be at least a year later or I switch job ;p

Not wimberly head but Markins M10 and plate. That already cost 645 liao... then the 3540XLS cost another 1260. CP sells the same tripod at 1420!

Think will still get the (Big) Bazooka. Will be able to protect the tripod when bring it oversea.

lol we would have the same head but different tripod. make sure you want the weight. very important. my combo quite heavy for a half day walk liao.

The local distributor has assured me that the pricing would be definitely worked to b competitive as compared to FLYING overseas to buy it; as well as ordering ONLINE. And not to forget the quality of local service.

I haven't dealt with the local distributor before; but from my few occasions dropping by, many will be assured of the support given.

Who is the to be distributor? Any more news from them?

Most importantly, when can we start seeing the products on sale here? Is there a physical store or will the shops like TK, J3:16 be getting the stuffs from this distributor?

Eh, don't get so excited la.

As Time magazine says...

"Only time will tell."

liew... D3 + TT bags.... i think CCK Town Council just hire u to eat the grass at CCK park, can already lah. :bsmilie:

Er... Modulus Set 12??? No way, but well, I don't have that many gear to justify it; So I only got the Modulus 6... However, let me explain why it's a hole...

Quite simple actually... I bought the Tokina 12-24mm lens, Spain trip, and then after getting this, I had another trip in Cambodia (thankfully, for this trip it was only $600 including flights)... So... just getting the Modulus Set 6 is already a hole, along with a huge hole in the bank account!!! :D

Oh, while deciding on what I wanted to get... I had additionally thought of getting Airport Acceleration (which is as good as a Modulus 12)... But, with the exchange rate, not forgetting the shipping charges(60USD!!!), as well as the $$$ I had already spent this year... It was just way too much to handle... Borrowed my friend's min trekker instead... :P

BUT... That was not the last spending... Sigh... Apparently I was too optimistic that I could just squeeze into the small belt, so when it came, let's just say I had to grab Lowepro's medium S&F belt to remedy it... Now trying to reduce waist line to use that belt!!! AHAHAHHAHA
