i understand how yuo feel lol. when i got my tripod and monopod set, i think i only eat grass too.. lol. think of a way to customise a module 6 from what is a available in singapore. lol
cheaper alternative. lol

The cheaper alternative is to buy the Lowepro Light Belt, adjust for your waist size and sew it permanently tight. This addresses the issue of it coming loose.

Pouches wise there's the Sliplock 50/60AW (drawstring type - fits standard zooms with hood reversed) and the Sliplock 30AW (for hotshoe flash).

For belt systems to be effective, one pouch needs to be left permanently empty to facilitate lens changes.

Lens cases aren't effective as they are zipped (slow to open) and if you buy just the right size, extremely difficult to get the lens out as there's no room to insert your hand in.

One light belt, two Sliplock 50/60AWs and one 30AW should cost about $80.

very interesting, thanks for the infor.
i was looking at the construction workers belt and add modules from to the belt. two Sliplock 50/60AWs and one 30AW are from lowepro right?

Thanks bros for the suggestions. After looking through the TTP catalog, I didn't find a tripod strap leh.

Bro, there are no tripod strap in TT lah. But manfrotto have. A better way (My way) is get a bag shoulder strap, hook it onto the tripod holes at the tripod top and end of the tripod column. If not sure, we can meet up and show you how to do it. This only appicable to manfrotto tripods, as Gitzo ones are difficult. :)

if there is a meeting up again, i could bring my gitzo setup to show you alternatives and shortcomings if you are interested.

hehe... for those looking for Think Tank Bags in SG, hang on for a while. i heard over the gravevine that a local (yes, singular) authorised dealer has been approved. now the distributor's waiting for the stocks. :)

fyi - those who dunno, Think Tank bags are highly rated overseas cos they are AFAIK the only brand of camera bags dat are all certified carry-on into airplanes. ;)

Yes, they're all from Lowepro.

I try to buy Lowepro first, only if the design is unique to Thinktank would I consider buying Thinktank. Quality-wise the two brands are pretty much similar.

So far Lowepro does not have a lens carrier for the 300 2.8 (lenstrekker way too big), that's why I bought the Glass Taxi.

I hope the local dealer gets the stock soon. Would like to take a look at the Urban disguise series.

Thanks for heads up, nightwolf. I sure hope the price will be attractive enough and there is a opening discount ;p Most of the members of Nikonian.org and Fred Miranda think very highly of TTP bags and I actually only thought of getting my Change Up after surfing FM. I was also influenced by them to get Gitzo tripod... "Tio" BBB virus liao lah.

in most cases, the TT equiv feels more stable and secure. compare the speed changer with lowepro's sliplock utility case. the lowepro version has 2 tabs which are secured at the end with small strips of velcro. the TT version has has 1 big fat tab with velcro running across the entire length of the speed changer. the same goes for the lens cases, water bottle holder etc. if u had to move fast with the gear, TT wobbles much less than lowepro.

Dun worry lah, you won't die buying the Modulus Set - 12 yet, but most probably will be after she asks you to buy something for her which cost >= Modulus Set - 12 ;p

I also don't dare to let my gf know I may spend 2K on tripod and ball head
