Welcome to the Mac World. It shouldn't take long for you to get used to OSX and you will never turn back to a PC.

I'm saving for a new mac laptop hopefully by then Leopard is out roaring!!!

I only use iPhoto for slideshows of the pics that i've taken, it's just convenient la.

So, which Apple Store do you work in? ;p

working in epicentre @ wheellock place now :)

Most probably will be out in November.....just in time for the X'mas season shopping spree...and with new macs machines.

I'm also waiting for Leopard.

 :p

ahha, thanks. Still fumbling my way thru, but having a ball with it. I hear that Windows Vista is actually very similar to OSX. Is this true?

"V"ery "I"rritating "S"oftware "T"o "A"pply is a complete rip off of the OSX... wait, actually there ARE some differences... The Spotlight of the OSX is on the top right hand corner while the Search feature of Vista is on the bottom left... OSX calls their handy little programs called "widgets" but Vistas are called "gadgets"... OSX has 3D chess games that can changed the board to metal, wood or grass while Vista has their 3D chess games that changed their boards to metal, wood and... PORCELAIN...

So there you go, enough differences that Vista is not a rip off of OSX ;p

Leopard will be out in October 2007, with a super rich GUI (downside is that it needs a larger RAM). If you are buying or thinking of buying a new mac, wait till October.

Anybody got any good recommendations for making photo slideshows? Other than iPhoto that is. :)

You can download Photo Presenter from the apple.com under software or download session. Its a shareware and the license is only USD8.00. Its presentation is simple to use but awesome, including one the made for appleTV.

frenchbean, u can use iMovie also. it comes with more controls and subtitles ^_^

i usually work during the weekdays.. cos i'm still wrapping up my final sem @ SIM.. i guess i'm probably the only person into photography there.. so shldnt be difficult to know who i am :P

Yeah, I know can use iMovie, but it seems too tedious and the rendering can take a long long time. Take me like more than 2 hours just for a 3 minutes slideshow.

Thanks. I'll go check it out... :)

guys, if order online how long Apple singapore take to deliver ? :D Sorry for funny question.

Depends on what you buy. If it's standard products without any configuration or personalization, it should be next day delivery. Otherwise, it will take 2 days generally.

Surfing off my MBP now... shiok, the feeling of the keyboard vs others is just different, and I love my keyboard backlit too...

hello. fellow 20" iMac 2.16Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo user here. Pretty much loved the stunning colours of the mac and Aperture for minor edits for large quantities of photos and its stability and interface.. but one problem.. how come my mighty mouse scroll ball now only works in one direction after a few months.. dust ?
... i don't want to replace the mouse..

Unfortunately, they all seem to do that eventually. Sweat and dust and other things build up. You might try going to Google.com and doing a search on "Mighty Mouse not scrolling" to see if there is an answer or try http://www.macintouch.com/ or http://www.macfixit.com/ to see what they mention.

Oh, by the way, I'm using a 2+ year old 15.2 inch PowerBook and hoping for something newer. Saw today that Apple has a patent on a backlit trackpad. That should make the MacBook Pro light up, along with the backlit keyboard.
