whatever it is, 9 months ago I said it will be good for Sony to release their API for public to make apps and they really did. I think the competition in camera business is really tough. Fuji is stepping up in their game. My XE1 is going to have another firmware upgrade in Dec which solves my issues. Canon, olympus and nikon all offer firmware upgrades with improve stuff like focusing, etc. I don't see how sony can don't do anything. It is just a question of how much.

As I said, luckily you are not Sony. Frankly the QX100 has so much potential for improvement it will be shocking if Sony does nothing.

Now I have full HD video, and shutter priority which is super important.

I am surprised they did not add in manual ISO setting... how hard can that be??? I guess it is something they will add for next update, like Fuji. Fuji took like 2-3 updates to fix everything. Maybe it looks better on paper, show they are more responsive

Well, they took only one month. Fact is Fact. there is no need to twist any words. I think you are just sore from being so utterly and completely wrong about sony.

Fact is you keep repeating that sony will not do anything and it just happens that they released a firmware update within a month.

I still think they will release manual ISO and I probably don't need much luck with that...


Anyway, I tried the new IOS app and it is really good. Connection speed is like within seconds and much more stable. Wifi transfer speed is very fast and they added in image review function within the app making image review very fast. Previously you have to close the app to go to gallery to view pics which is plain annoying as you have to reconnect again... But Sony did not include a delete function during image review which is plain stupid. The whole point of image review is that you can delete the bad ones. Maybe I missed the delete function somewhere. Another thing for future update.

Sony really should have waited until the app was ready before releasing the camera. All those bad reviews floating on the web now... The first app is so bad that it really does not make sense to release the cam.

Yes, I said I think they won't do it and I would have done it already. I didn't say I hope they won't do it. Maybe you don't know the difference.
We'll see who's going to be wrong in a few years. Of course I hope I am wrong, the app needs a serious makeover.

Just brought the Q10, love it. Only thing that is down part is it cannot shoot good image from 7pm to 630am. night fall my Note 3 can shoot better image . Sad

So what's the benefit for you carrying it around with you? Is it that much better than the Note 3 during the day?

Yup, at least when using zoom, it image is far more better than my phone. Sometime when I with family n kids. This is the best compact system to carry around

I'm surprised the QX10 with it's 1/2.3" sensor isn't better at higher ISO than the tiny Note 3 sensor. Maybe the Note 3 simply applies much more noise reduction?

Sad Eyes - Taken with 2 led torches as light source with DIY softbox and grid. I only worked on the 2MB file. Wish that sony include iso control to that the noise level can be reduced.

Well, it turned out that Sony DID add in maunal ISO setting in this firmware update. To me it really did not make sense not to include manual ISO control.

Now we have shutter/aperture/ISO control which is probably what most people need. Did not really have much time to play with the QX100 these days and hopefully they can update the playmemories for android soon.
