The x700 was a European Camera of the Year when it was launched.
The engineers who designed it in Minolta were fantastic. The x700 screen is the same one you see in the Hasselblad medium format camera.

I rank it with the Canon A1 + T90, Nikon FE2+FM2, Olympus OM-1N+OM3, Pentax MX+LX as ground breaking cameras.

The 50mm f1.2 is a legendary lense in Minolta Lense history (review and performance can be found in the link I posted earlier)... that's the reason why I ask around to find out the possibility of any adapter that can make this lense work on Auto Focus SLR body...

roundg apparently is really a fan and active user/collector of Minolta Manual camera and lens. If you check his buy and sells (he apparently appears mainly there only) He trades a lot in Minolta MD/MC equipment, So perhaps he found something really nice allowing him to let go of this piece of gem.

Here's a sample pic of my Minolta X-570, fitted with a 50mm F1.7.

I have a MD Rokkor 135mm F2.8 which is kinda in bad condition. Dont know where to send it for a re-conditioning.
