using the F58? LOL it does that very often. btw, try using 2 F58s and control them wireless via your on-board flash. angled differently. but for that you need a specialized tripod that can open up the legs till it's pretty low... and additional arms to position the flash.

Yup, using the F58. I always switch off my A33 to save batt and the F58 will reset to TTL when I switch the cam on. LOL, 2 F58???
 

the real challenge of night macro is most probably the lighting, as some might be too harsh. plus insects are really more active at night >.<
 

Ya, insects are different but the way you shoot them is still the same what... LOL

After attending a talk by the sing photo soc on macro today.. Thinking of getting a Nissin 622. Lol. Or maybe two. >__> meh

If want then get the mark 2, the mark 1 cannot use wireless radio trigger.
