plaster his name on CS consumer corner. we make sure he kenna blacklisted. LOLLOLLOL

But I checked the condition, he/she say got a minor scratch plus the auto mode logo/word is faded off lol, so it's gonna be very hard for me to sell it off in the future, so not such a good deal unless it's dirt cheap (definitely much less than $800)

Like that then not worth it lah but condition 8 is a pretty honest gauge lah

But it's a serious cosmetic issue that affects resale value. It's good that the seller told me the exact condition of the item, but I feel that for such conditions, that price isn't good enough. This is especially so if you consider how the user has used/abused the equipment, such that the printing on the mode dial can fade/peel off. My 2 year old D5000 looks perfectly new, just that the printings have gone slightly greyish.

I'll continue hunting around :)

Yea i get what you mean, even my D80 looks new after so long, that D90 must have gone through quite a bit of abuse

Yup, that's what I'm worried about.

Anyway, if I'm going to sell my D5000 I have to do it soon lol, later D5100 come out then the value of D5000 will drop even more...zzz

But I doubt you plan to sell off your 350D in the future. A D90 can probably still sell when I need to sell it (heck, people are still selling D70 and D80 now, and even D50). But a D90 with such a cosmetic flaw will not sell, and even if it would, it would be going at a ridiculously low price. I also know that these cosmetic flaws will not affect the functionality of the camera, but not everyone is like us. I not only look at functionality, I look also at resale value.

Is it a common problem? Cos my friend's 350D also have paint and rubber grip peel leh
