The Pentax K1 Thread! - Post all your K1 picts and impressions

jk, a special request. do you have a day-time landscape picture shot at maybe ISO 100, but with - EV to minimise clipped highlights. Then on post-processing, you pull the dark areas to brighten it back. And with pixel shift.

I asked because of this review of Nikon D810, where a picture could be taken at ISO 64 to maintain the dynamic range and to pull back details during post-processing.

Sorry to trouble you, but i just need a comparison. But thanks.

Really too troublesome to put up :D

I KIV this action item (Ok?) (Can't make empty promises)

What I can point you to though...is the DPReview Studio Comparator.
https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/image-comparison

You can load up whatever camera you want, including K1 with pixel shift and D810, even the Fuji MF and 645Z.
Of course you can't adjust the exposure, but you can compare the noise and detail at the settings you want.
Basically, in terms of details, the K1 in pixel shift mode wipes the floor against all the above listed.
Noise is much harder since all cameras are good at low ISO.

What you described with the D810 is pretty common on all the Sony Exmor sensors, actually.

You can also download their samples to adjust yourself.
If not, try Imaging Resource (iirc, they provide the RAWs)

Not to mention the K1 smokes the doors off an 810 price point wise...and this said by a Nikon user!

A sight which is getting rare as the years goes by . An aged clobber, very likely he is doing it because he wants to do.
