Really nice series of shots.
Looks like the FA*24/2 shines on FF.
Nice OOF rendering and wide enough for many landscape shots too.
FA*24 really shine on k1..time to get a set of filters for it so that can do longer exposure

Thanks Franz.
Now I rarely shoot birds locally as can be seen yesterday was my 1st birding shoot. :embrass:
Not sure when is my next birding shoot, probably if there's nice migratory birds landed at Singapore.
Is your fren Simone3399 also a Pentax shooter?
Hi Ken ,
Yes, he is the one , using K-1 . He was keen to buy the Pentax 150 - 450 .. ( I think this range ). I suggested he seek your opinion first.
I've seen birdie shot by this lens, the pics are sharp.
This lens is cheaper and lighter than Sigma 500 F4.5 and Pentax DA560, only thing is that it loses when using with tele-converters.
Loke has just bought this lens, may want to check with him?

Worth a read to have some additional insight to pixel shift
I would love to buy the new K-1
but I do not wish to spend on additional set of Lens
Theres are the lens that I have, can anyone advice me if I can use it on the K-1.
I would like to use the FULL Frame sensor , Dont want to buy a K-1 and use the crop sensor
Its ok for me with some distortion, just as long as the corners of the photos are not being block by the wide angle of the lens.
or corner of the photo not "cutoff"
