The Pentax K1 Thread! - Post all your K1 picts and impressions

Wow.. Wasted i can't join. Seem like you have a good session and a good work out with your K1.

Yes, Martini challenged me to try and make the background darker after he taught me the basis. I turned around to ask him something and Poof he had disappeared somewhere else so I had to figure out on my own. Really made me learn how to do it. After about 50 shoots I managed to get it.

great ken....always love to see you snapping birdie...
Thanks Joe. :)

Great shot as usual. I wonder where you saw all these bird nests? Would love to take some closeups like this, but don't know where to look for them :embrass:
Thanks fengwei, this was shot at Chinese Garden, quite near your place, but too bad the chicks have already fledged.
usually I see birders post in facebook, sometimes they do mention the location else i can ask them. ;)

Went to Botanic Gardens yesterday, first time I didn't bring the DA*300 and Sigma 500 lenses.
Wanted to shoot orchid flowers inside the National Orchid Garden but the sunlight was so harsh so in the end didn't enter.
Shot outside instead using WIFI mode with DAL 55-300 kit lens, a lens that I've not touched for almost 5yrs.
This was 100% full frame straight from K1's jpeg with minimal exposure adjustment in PS, can see there's very little vignetting.

Didn't plan to shoot any bird except for the ducks in Eco Lake but none of them appeared yesterday :(, only managed to shoot this Magpie Robin whose singing beautifully that attracted my attention, at that time my K1 was mounted with Tamron 70-200 F2.8 (another lens heavily under utilized) no time to change to DAL 55-300, just captured a shot that is at a distance, am quite impressed with the resolution of K1 for such a small crop, can still show details of the bird.

Shot from the Eunos new blocks of flats? I didn't know they have public accessible sections that allows us to shoot... I am going to head there during Sunrise to shoot the 3 blocks from the back.
