the ‘Asahiflex’ was put on sale on the Japanese home market in May 1952. The range of lenses introduced with the camera were called ‘Takumar’, after Takuma Kajiwara, a relative of both the founder, Kumao Kajiwara and the company President, Saburo Matsumoto. Takuma Kajiwara had gone to America around 1900 and had made his way as a photographer. He was also reported to be associate of George Eastman, the founder of ‘Kodak’.

Today I ordered cheap Oly camera and adapters for Pentax and M42 stuff...very soon I will finally be able to make pictures for this thread with all this glass I have had for a while and never used before! Can't wait!

If I remember I used aperture priority, F2 but cannot remember the shutter speed

MF or AF with AP?
What I meant, was AF accidentally set when used with MF lens.
Do not know what cam used, was the focus screen replaced or something to do with eyepiece diopter adjustment...
