generally i think everyone won a good day of shooting on that day. i had great fun too.

Of the 14 prize winners, 12 used D70, 1 shot with a D2H and another with D100.

Why keeps on wondering how the judges put down the marks?

And I dont think the wide angle is on favour too..

Also not only pro end body will win too.. you dont need D2 series to trump..

Its the skills, feels of the event, compositions...etc..

Its the person behind the camera..

I congatulate all the winners and I find them all worthy, however the "shoot the nikonian' winning entry which is also excellent except that it seemed to me to be a bit 'staged' and not the spur of the moment shot, I thought he was a cyclist, you're supposed to be shooting photographers, and 'real' photographers won't do that what with all our expensive cameras with us, just my 2 cents...

Only true creative photographer will try to steer away from the norm. That twist and risk is the winning factor. You got a long way to go man. BTW, 'real' photographers comes in different shape and size, and they are normal people who also rest and enjoy in this case a refreshing cool nikon water :bsmilie:. You have to open you eyes and mind least u find yourself sitting in the well.

Congrats to all the winners again!

p/s: just in case u dunno, 'real' photographer also sleeps, eat, sings, play, dive climb, drinks, travel, work.... with their precious Nikon equipments with them or near them. Hope u can relax and enjoy just like the 'real' photographers.
