While we are talking and chatting in the web, Canon has launched the elusive EOS-7D (18 mega pixel monster in APC sensor), the available canon marketing information is showing EOS-7D is a more potential competitor to D300 as it has so call improved AF capability + A EOS1N comparable Moisture Sealing body. But the EOS 7D sensor is very fully packed, pixel density is very close to the 4/3 sensor (it is interesting to see how canon EOS 7D low light performance vs Olympus E30)

frens.. all of them got one common goal ! that is to earn your money !!! to make u buy and buy and buy... u will keep buying.

Yesterday i saw the A850 at best denky in IMM but no lens attached and i was surprise to see the camera as frankly i didn't really keep in touch with the latest release that sony coming up. As i knew they just release a handful of new bodys.
Anyway couldn't try since no lens on the body and no price also was there.

Hmm lsisaxon, ZA lens.... drool...

Hmm hows the shutter sound compared to A700? I think A900 is okay but A700 is still the best. Others are crapped.

1) 24MP --> Fail. compromised low light performance, large files to transfer. D700 win
2) Bionz white balance --> Fail. My preference for white balance especially tricky light situation is still in Nikon or Sony. More neutral for sunset, night... D700 win
3) Lens --> Zesis. Winner
4) Sony service centre location --> Winner
5) Sony Price in S'pore --> Winner
6) VR on sensor --> not my preference. I still believe high zoom need a super VR compared to say 85mm. I also dun like the idea of sensor moving here and there.. (worried abt long term sharpness)
7) 3fps --> U must be joking.

S6pro@<$3k, where r u? haha... Faint

VR in sensor is win for those AF lenses and 3rd party lenses without VR, but the down side is that you dont see it in the view finder. try getting a 200mm and while looking through the finder, flick the vr on and off, will see the diff. i dont see that happening on a sony body.

Frankly speaking, an average salary man in SG will find DSLR photography an very expensive hobby, especially after u are married and have a kid. You will need to really "eat Roti" to save up for this cameras. Why dun save up for the rainy days ahead? Buy-Less, Shoot-More & More differently for better creativity.;)

i think that is just a tiny factor for some people. infact, i dun see why u need to see the vr in action
