Great. You have made a wise choice indeed(over D7000). Happy shooting :D

If I were to try de d3, I fear, I will want that camera instead. Hehe.

Having said that, I've gotten my D300s. Definitely no regrets:)

I am also glad if this thread could help you having more inputs when choosing the camera.

Enjoy your new D300s and happy shooting Bro ! :)

Thanks bro. I am enjoying it indeed. Cheers

So I'd like to ask anyone who got the D7000, how is the real life usage like? ISO performance as good as advertised? I'm looking to buy one soon.
Thanks mates

I've gone the other direction ;p

I've been using d300s for almost 2 years and just got my d7k last sunday..
The most important thing is not the camera, but the eyes behind the viewfinder..
happy shooting with your new toy! ;)

Haha...that's interesting. I still feel there's pros and cons for both cameras. Guess, to each its own. What's important, is you like the camera....and I'm loving mine. Like you said, its up to the eyes behind the viewfinder. Seen fantastic photographers who took brilliant pictures with the most basic setups.

Happy shooting with your new toy too!!:D

I'm still using D300s right now..and actually it's office property :embrass:
Still using it for office work..
Bought D7K for my own use and personally feel really satisfied with it.

The real big differences for me are the size *off course* and white balance consistency...
I've been carrying the heavy D300s and now carrying D7K is like a toy camera ;p
As for the WB, I feel D7K is more consistent compared to D300s..
It's a personal opinion though..

So, if budget is not a constraint, you would choose D300s over D7K right ?
;p

ow i see, if you don't have both of them,
and later you should buy one of them, which one you choose to get it?

sory my english so bad,, hihihi

D300s and D7000 are both good cameras, though they belong to 2 different league. The D7000 may be a newer camera, but without doubt, the D300s belongs to the upper league class of DSLR.

What I want in D300s over D7k:
- 9 shots bracketing (EV & WB)
- 12 extra focus points
- Easy access switches and buttons
- "Noiser" shuttle release. Don't look at me, I believe a lot of people really like tat sound.
- Last, and the least, the pro look, feel and grip :p

But does are all these worth the extra S$300? When I look at the pros of D7k pver D300s, I can only see ISO handling and the new EXPEED 2 image processing over D300s (I'm not too concern with FPS and video).

My personal choice atm is to wait out for D400 where the best of both worlds comes together... hopfully.....

Haha... I totally agree with you...

After reading this thread, I have decided to get myself a D300s.
