consider the yongnuo 565ex instead. cheaper and feels extremely well-built. lacks high speed sync but otherwise specs are comparable with the canon580ex.

In the end settle for the Sigma Sigma 610DG for $251 at SLR Revolution. was quoted $299 at several other shops.

anyone still interested can go search speedlights.net they hv a comprehensive review of some (not all) of the flashes available in the market. the YN-568 nt there but the YN-565EX is. Through that website i realised the YN-468II doesnt hold a candle to the Nissin Di622II :x
