Obi Wan Kenobi is using R4 driod. He is not familiar with R2D2 mah.

like other's have said, that would place him quite close to having to admit vader is luke's father. besides, if u notice up until EP3, obi and 3po never actually met (i'm not sure they actually even said anything to each other). apart from that, he never was really close to R2.
