The Festival of Fireworks cum Countdown Party 2003

Ok, have just done recce today at the hotel with Larry.

Been quoted SGD188+++ (abt SGD215 nett) for deluxe room with guaranteed harbour view (Esplanade) - units ending in xx52, xx53 or xx54. Each room balcony can comfortably take abt 5 tripods (6 would be a squeeze unless smaller tripods are used). Have requested for deluxe room at abt 40th - 44th flr which is probably the right height to take fireworks.

It works out abt SGD40 per head. Plan is to take 2 rooms with capacity of 10 (ideal) - 12 people.

Ok, need final comfirmation on who's going and possibly to collect
"deposit" at next SEED to secure your "seat". Would need to confirm hotel room by end of this month.

yes the room rate is confirmed, it just depends on how many people will be interested. if there's less than 5 people per room, then mabbe might go up but from the looks of things, i don't think should be a problem.

see can, but not shooting foto rite? tripod space is at a premium, cos that's what we paying for.

Jeff,
Just a personal opinion, I feel that floors 40-44 is a bit high. Have you viewed the actual rooms? I would consider something around your suggested view, but lower floors like 32-35. Was just there this afternoon and felt it was more at eye-level. As I won't be really shooting, all is fine for me.
