No. No discounts for cash. That is their policy. They don't care if you pay with cash or not. It's a flat rate.

Eh... this is not 100% accurate.

They actually have 2 pricing for most of their products. Bought most of my equipments there (D800E, Canon 5DIII, lenses, etc.). The standard price is for card payments, but if you ask them for cash payment, they will calculate with a reduced price for the credit card fee deducted.

Maybe I am a very regular customer, but they have been giving me 2 prices for all the transactions. Except some Sony new products which is "fixed" price during launch. They could only quote me RRP price for my A7R then, so I didn't get from them.

They always quoted me 2 pricing - cash and credit card when I asked for e-quote.

Yes. Cp marina quoted me cash price. The purpose of my post was to give rough indication of price. We should not deviate from the main topic and start talking more about 50mm.

What happened to the picture taken by Nikkor lens ? Why looked a bit blurred ?
This should because of 3D photo effect !!! ;p

The Nikon 58/1.4 is quite known for its field curvature, so the field of focus isn't flat.

Another review of Nikkor 58 1.4G from Lloyd Chambers

At Night
Beautiful sunstars can be made at night, though these require that the light source be in focus.
Street Scene image

Color Saturation and Contrast
Color saturation is rich. No polarizer has been used here at ƒ/2, where the other hallmark of the 58/1.4G is seen: high contrast on the image as a whole, which is important, perceptually.
Red Leaves image

Close Range
At close range, the blur qualities are astonishing in smoothness and uniformity, and without distractions; blur quality is uniformly velvety from center to corner.
Watering Can image

Especially wide open, Nikkor AF-S 58mm f/1.4G offers an unusual grace that is highly suitable for portraiture or contemplative scenes.

Thanks for sharing !
"Nikkor 58mm f1.4G, it is more on lens quality than just sharpness ! "

Hi Jeff,
Matt seems not to like this lens leh. I feel his shoot in Japan not as nice. I still prefer Sam n Jared Polin's review.

Whats peoples thoughts on the ZEISS 50 1.4 ZF.2 on the D800.... ?

Hi Dfive, I thought the 50mm f2 was a sharper lens? I feel unless u have the split focussing screen, otherwise MF is rather difficult to use assuming u are using the 50mm for portraits.

I use the Zeiss 50 1.4 on D800E ...absolutely fantastic lens. Besides the not not so fantastic review on DXO , my experience is different. It's one of the sharpest lenses I ever owned or tried . It outperforms by far my older Nikon 50mm . It is my private "reference lens".

Review of the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art with comparison to Zeiss Otus and recommended price is out !

"the Sigma 50mm ƒ/1.4 Art stands up to the Zeiss 55mm ƒ/1.4 Otus very well, meeting or slightly exceeding the optical performance of the Zeiss" and " it trounces any similar model available for less than $4,000" according to http://photorumors.com/2014/04/09/sigma-50mm-f1-4-dg-hsm-art-lens-price-and-zeiss-otus-comparison/

Australian RRP A$1,099 (~US$1,030) available in June.

Latest update!
According to Sigma Singapore, lens will be available here in May at a RRP of S$1,388, same price as the 35mm f/1.4 Art'
