well there r signs of whether the person merely ask song only or wants to buy. In marketing we call it MAN. Man with means,with authority or with needs. Whether you can ask more or not os really not up to me, it takes 2 hands to clap or snap. If the bugger thinks you ask song only the conversation will evaporate quickly. But let others say. Try the safer shops then the sharks
i thought in sales we suppose to treat all customers the same, meaning we don't see them as window shoppers but as potential customers? if we see customers as those who want to "just see and not buy", "see and buy", and "don't see straight away buy" etc etc, i think that is really bad customer service.. even if a young teenagers come into my shop, i will not treat them differently, i will see them as potential customers, the fact that they have desire about some products makes them potential customers.. shooing away customers like that are not sales attitude, but gangsters attitude..
