Much like how some people not knowing all the facts... already decided to pass judgment on the internet.... :)

Who's Lilian Eng? Do I know her? ;p

Most military forces around the World practice using commercial transportation during peace time... if you have not been reading the papers or reading from the internet... its cost the Govt and us tax payer alot more than using our LST/LSD... or shipping direct.

Shouldn't the sender of the cargo, SAF, be making the declaration? Maybe APL really did screw up by not declaring, or instructed not to declare (APL was owned by NOL until recently).

You mean SAF declare the armour vehicle as Dinosaur/Kaiju... the the Shipping Company, API, took a look at the cargo, insurance purposes and generally making sure the correct cargo goes onboard, and just agree its Dinosaur/Kaiju ?? And didn't H.K side already said that Singapore is not being investigated but if any criminal charges was to be filed... it will be filed against API ?

Also unlikely a business, as yoy said, no longer own by NOL, will 'agree' not to declare cargo properly even if SG Govt ask them to do so... lets not forget... the Terrex wasn't hidden inside the cargo bay... by was on the deck (top) of the Cargo Ship... in plain sight but covered up in plastic to protect them from saltwater.....

Anyway... we'll know once H.K authorities release more information... and they most likely will, being that they 'were' accused of going against international law and custom, following the orders of Beijing... they'll want to clear their names too.

And come to think about it... why is is there a need to disguise or not declare the Terrex as it is... when

* Its a SG design & made... and sold by ST Internationally...
* Its has 'Property of SAF' literally burned onto its hull...
* Its returning from Taiwan... from Exercise Starlight, while China may not be happy, its also no secret we are training there... and has done so for years...

So... is there a point, that we are 'smuggling' our own armour vehicle back to SG after a Military Exercise that is known at least to most military intelligence...

But we may now, have to 'resort' to smuggling our own vehicle after this incident... but unlikely we need to do it before hand... :bsmilie:

I wonder if they locked the tank... otherwise the Chinese will have a field day going inside..
Next thing you know there will be a 特烈坦克车。。 :)

China doesn't need to copy or study our Terrex... they could buy a few and copy from it legally... beside, China has long been making their own Tanks and APCs suitable for their own needs and uses.

And I don't think APC's are equipped with anti-thief alarms like in cars... :bsmilie:
