Panda building a few more too. Japan has some. India has some. I'm no China lover particularly but I think it is only fair and just that China have some too and she will no matter what.

For that matter I think Singapore should have at least one.

When I was still in the Navy... nearly 20yrs ago... I learn that the whole purpose of having an Aircraft Carrier is for the projection of Power... a role Singapore does not need... our military has more of a defensive than a offensive role... the cost of building, maintaining and manpower needed to run a full size carrier is prohibiting....

That said... there are rumors that our Navy may be building a Helicopter Carrier for disaster relieve operation... something that is greatly needed during the Tsunami or Typhoon Haiyan...

Singapore can afford to have one or even a few! But then...in order to operate, the whole NAVY arms must deploy in this "fleet" in order to operate. :embrass:

Yeah...there was "rumour" that our Navy may/may not considering converting LST to accommodate the F35"B" variant.

Until that system is used successfully, no one knows how good it is.

My understanding is tha the AS missiles were developed to challenge anything in the Taiwan straight. Makes sense. And the Chio Liao aircraft carrier is a diesel pusher that cannot launch a fully loaded firecracker. And as has been said no battle group included. They are showing their hand to much...giving their long term ideas away already. Jumping the gun. USA is like a 3 headed black serpent on a dark night better watch out. That is what I hate about my country.

They called it a glitch in system or unforeseeable human error.

Blunder that China is trying to bully every other nation in this region because President Trump may not be giving a sh*t about this region from 20th of Jan... ??

Blunder that H.K (most like under orders from Beijing) decided to unlawfully sizes our vehicle without even officially giving a reason... ??

Blunder that as an independent nation, we have 'No Rights' to have any relationship with a long time friendly Govt ??

Or Blunder that unlike some other regional head of states... we have the backbone not to go over to Beijing and kiss their A** while begging them for 'investment' while selling or giving away lands/islands....

Which is why S'pore should never just take a side....China's or United States... but walk our own path.
