[ Tech ] - Sharing C-Mount (cine) lens' photos and gears on M43 bodies

You can get it from B&H for around $170 to $180 (depending on exchange rate) then purchase the adapter separately (should be around $60 or so?)

Is it the same as Chiif pentax model?:what: 1" or 2/3"?

pic can't tell but if i guess shld be 1" since the 2/3" will vignet, but surely to be safe i would call b4 going down;)

Just some photos taken with my 25mm 1.4 on a E-P2. Focusing with the EVF is quite a joy. If you're interested in a bigger view, click on the images.

is this using the pentax 25mm?

Nope. It is a nondescript 25mm 1.4. Made in China I think.

According to my friend though, it shouldn't make a difference. It's OEM, so the difference between the Pentax one and this one is just the branding.

thanks! reason I asked is that I do want to buy that OEM china-made lens. from the looks of it, it can shoot pretty interesting photos :)

This picture was shot using Pentax 25mm f1.4 with EP2, the one that can be bought at TK Foto or Chiif. No enhancing, no photoshopped, just changed to 72 dpi.

These are my comments
1) Great for shooting indoor and potrait, average 1/100 shutter speed if you use f1.4 at ISO200/400
2) Love the dof
3) Enjoyed the manual focussing, it is fun ;p
5) Focal length: 30cm
6) Colour tends to fade at the corner, overall need to do some minimal PS to brighten up the colour

Overall: 8/10, it is a good lens for a good price, m4/3 camera users should play with it. Havent tried the outdoor shoot yet, but i think will be great :):)

I dont think the china lens is a Pentax OEM.
The china lens have swirl bokeh and do vignette.
Build wise also differ.

I just bought my EPL1 a few days ago... I love the effects the cctv lens is producing!

Just a few pics to share.

tks for sharing, this lens is pretty sharp. it's poisoning....:bsmilie:

Some more samples of the Pentax 25mm f1.4, with minimum PS levels to adjust the contrast. Original colours are quite nice also.

So does it catches very sharp images? maybe i'm very anal, but its a no for me, i had problem focussing the lens manually while looking at the EP2 screen, looking through VF-2 is better. But when i open the picture in photoshop, it is not as sharp as i expected. Maybe its just me, LOL ;p;p
