yes, probably also because of the depth in the picture, that the feet is at the front and she's leaned back. angle of the ankle might have affected the perception too. in fact i shot this beyond the door and was cropped pretty tightly on post processing.

thanks for pointing out the distortion. any improvement tips for the posing wise?

It's posing more than anything else, and the lens too, perhaps. Granted, you are working in very tight qarters. If the modle had sit closer to the camera? Tought one, but still, because the feet are so uch closer to the camera, the distortion is inevitable, however, still does not look falttering.

How about if the model had tucked the stretche out leg back? Might work?

Bro, backgnd distracting with one car in the left bottom and some stray light on the right bottom. Pose wise, the model right hand totally disappears in the pic. Also when asking model to pose with leg on tyre next time, try to ask the model to face the cam at a slight 45 degrees angle to avoid unflattering poses. Due to long exposure, model also have to support quite sturdily on the tyre with the leg thus muscle lines tend to show up at this angle.

I a bit nitpick coz i wan moller to look nice in pics... haha...



Can... long exposure with small aperture settings in the cam (f16 maybe to f22 or smaller). To explain this term, take ur eye as the camera and close ur eyelid such that u can still see. Now look towards any light source. Do u see the blink blink of the light. Then slowly open ur eyes. U will notice the bling effect gets lesser.

The aperture of the lens is like the eye. A bit theoretical rite... If wan also can do in photoshop. Ask redsun teach ur personal tutorial.

yes, the lens, i might have been able to stepped back and use just alittle longer focal length, just alittle. its either shooting through the wind down window, or it'll be at the open door. the former wouldnt allow so much detail in the framing though.

somehow we struggled to get a right pose in it, many of it i thought it looked unnatural or the left arm would be hidden somewhere else because it was so tight.

if only, the front leg like you mention, could have stayed closer to the right side of the passenger seat. that will make the leg more diagonal too breaking somehow that parallel symmetry with the arm above.

how about reducing the size of the feet in photoshop to reduce the impression of distortion?
