South Korea. I checked the price list(courtesy of some clubsnap member) and i found that the 17-40f4l is retailing for 650k won, or 878sgd. Not a bad deal :think:

Haaa.. bro. For every shot that people can agree to be okie.. its backed by 100 really outta-this-world kind of bad shots. I had my days of people's full spitten.. and some rather recent. Haaa.. I am glad the pictures looks okie to you.

I know how ur shots bro.. they are not that bad, but if u insist on punishing yourself... it would never be bad to be able to go shoot. Why shoot a hundred.. when you can do a thousand! Just post some of your shots ... you will always find your supporters... cheerios!

Im considering to get it late this year, but im still wary about the sharpness issue of lens.Which is quite common in the photography world.
Then, do u advice i get 2nd hand or new...got a bad experience on 2nd hand lens so not very keen on it...but as i am going to a certain country for travel, i found that a new one retails for 850sgd there.

agree with redsun that 17-40 is not very sharp wide open...step down to F5.6 and the sharpness improves vastly...if u r using it mostly for landscape, then there is no concerns as u would be shooting at F8 & above most of the time...

damn..seems i misread the price list on the website..the 650k was for 2nd hand and the new one was 950k which is higher than the local price drop anyway.
