jus curious, is there any IR remote for D700 or we must buy the wired remote? :think:

i always hear wired is better then the IR....at least cold cold country, the IR wun "jam" under cold condition.... but..cold cold country open up slot....oso prone to cold wind go in slot...
i am confused oso..:cry:
I am sure there are some 3rd party ones available. You simply plug the IR remote device into the cable release connector. Once activate the IR, the device will trigger the camera as if the user has depress the cable release.
I am not sure if there is a direct access camera IR device or not... sorry.
Thanks buttie...the reason I am askin is becos Nikon has direct camera remote for DXX series but I don't see any for D300/D700...maybe we will ask at the shop...

Slot opened is fine one... the contacts are not so lousy and prone to coldness... :bsmilie:

Buttie..use the professional stuff..wire shutter release..:thumbsup:
if u can afford, get a better one, with time laspse triggering..else a 3rd party one is cheap and useful..
IR trigger got its disadvantages..i remember when i was still using D70s..during a SFF..the IR remote can trigger many cameras at one time which i think you won't want this to happen..
