Toa Payoh Estate Walkabout and Sunset

Shoot opened to ALL.

Date: 10 Jan 2009
Time: Meet 5pm shoot till 7plus.
Location: Toa Payoh MRT meet. Walking distance to estate.

Did a recce a while back. Sunset is not the usual egg yolk but more of moods. Colors of skies dynamic if weather is good. Nevertheless TS starting to venture into wat they did most at the start - chiong abandoned places... haha...

Xmas Lighting Part 2


Date: 23rd Dec 2008 (TUESDAY)
Time: Meet 6pm
Location: Orchard MRT

Shoot opened to ALL.

Proposed schedule:
630-730pm: Shoot the lighting during the dusk hour when it is not completely dark yet. We might be able to catch the Xmas Floats...
730-830pm: Dinner...
830pm onwards: Continue shooting own time own target...

pulling out, have to take care some personal stuff
 

CHRISTMAS FLOATS

Guys, just read in the Celebrate the Spirit of Christmas booklet handed out all along Orchard Rd that the CCIS Christmas Floats will be at TOA PAYOH on 23rd Dec.

7 floats will then start touring the heartlands of Singapore starting with Joo Chiat and Katong, stopping at various venues on different nights, to spread the joy and share the community celebration with skits, drama, plays and choir singing christmas carols

I have no idea if the floats will only be at Toa Payoh, or will ply other routes tonight, but the last entry on the 2-page announcement states:

25th Dec 08 Orchard Road

The 8 floats will return to Orchard Road to join in the Christmas Day Grand Concert

Estimated Cost: S$100-S$120

Cost includes:
- Transport throughout the trip. Bring us round the place to eat, shoot etc etc.
- All meals (including fruit feast, seafood buffet spread etc etc)
- Kelong visit
- Accommodation (not top class but spacious so can shoot each other. Hahaha...)

Activities Expected:
- Walkabout / Streets (Includes Kelong visit and street shoot)
- Landscapes / Seascapes / Ruralscapes
- Feasting on fruits and seafood
- Sunset shoot at kelong
- Sunrise shoot
- Night Macro (Strobists / Torch fanatics gather!)
- Mahjong / Cards / Karaoke / Other Entertainment
- TCSS
- Play fireworks... (personal cost... )

Minimum of 25 ppl to open the whole "villa" to ourselves. Please note at least 25, if not the price will not hold. I believe this is the lowest cost one can find as all food and lodging included as well as transport. Dun miss this opportunity! According to glenn and roland, they feast like mad as almost every few hrs is food. Shooting is abundance too!

Time: Go in after lunch, come out for dinner (food is important :bsmilie:)
Transport by Monorail/Bus: Alight at beach station and walk to tanjong beach, for those who dun wanna walk, can take the bus :)
Activities: Beach Volleyball, Soccer, Frisbee (if we have it), Tcss, Suntan, Swimming..etc

Admission fee: $3 per entry Maybe 1 person can go buy tickets for everyone as there is always a long queue den the others can find a place for lunch first

  1. NO SLR/DSLR
  2. Compact camera okay
  3. Invite ur gf/bf/family to come

Location: Orchard Road (From Borders to Plaza Singapura)

Expectations:

Participants are expected to exercise their creativity and capture any shots that can be related to curves, exhibiting curves etc. No limits to creativity. A thread will be created and each participant will share 3 of their best shots. No prize, no rewards, but alot can be gained from abstract shooting.

This shoot is open to ALL (including non TSers).
