tough question indeed.
I once own both, and 50mm seems like the least used one... most people will prefer 35mm, due to wider coverage... However, the most outstanding shots, normally comes from a 50mm lens.

50mm primes are generally cheaper , sharper, and brighter... which in a way is best value for money. 35mm on the other hand, is rather expensive.

i will get 24 + 50 buttie.. like wad i using now..
35 & 85..;p
previously i was using 35 & 85... realised 35 is not that wide for dramatic portraits... and 85 indoor sometimes a bit tight.. thou both are great lenses. :)

I also quote a phrase from "zhxxx"...

When the color is heavy... the friendship gets lighter :bsmilie:

if chiu buying nikon FF, then perhaps get 35/2 + 85/1.4 roh.. no choice cos there are no primes better than 14-24 for now.. unless u buy 28/1.4... cheap cheap at $5000 2ndhand on ebay :)

i ish oso tink 50mm ish betta than 35
