Buddies, I got 1 Q, my friend ask me what's the diff between a normal lens and a macro lens and why some review he has read say that it works just fine for landscape.

And I answered...the difference is that macro lenses have a very short focal distance to take pictures up close to fill up the frame. As for landscape, a small aperture and a far focal distance is required so that's why a macro lens can also achieve it.

Correct or not ah? got miss out anything? :sweatsm::embrass:

hmm a Marco lens is called a marco lens coz it has a very short minimum focusing distance
you can use it to shoot whatever you like, portraits, landscapes
whereas for a normal lens, the minimum focusing distance is further, thats y it cant focus really close

Wanted to join you butties for the orchid shoot but it was on a Monday and I couldn't take leave.
Soooooo, i went to Orchid Garden myself the following week.

Sharing one of my shots:

Too bad there's a curly extension that's in front of the center part of the orchid. I found it a bit distracting .. but .. errrhhhh .. cannot prune ..

I want a macro lens too!
