Tamron Appreciation Thread...

Been loving my 60mm macro lens, good for some macro photography + portraiture shots although I have to EV +1.0 most of the time to obtain a correct exposure. :X

anyone sent the lens together with the camera to JEL for calibration yet? can we collect on the spot? if not, how long? pls advise. thanks...

Just pick one from your picture bro, sharp lens worth considering man!..

K20D AF points not so accurate, sometimes have to zoom in to to focus, then zoom back out. I had to do the same with my 17-50 and 12-24 so I think it's the camera's fault. But the lens is damn power. Only complaint is that the hood looks fierce but is too big if you have to keep changing lenses. I might get a screw-in metal or rubber hood instead.

Wow, this telephoto lens looks cool, I wonder how much it costs?

still loving my tamron 17-50VC and 90mm more:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

i got myself a SP17-35, and pleased with it =)
wasn't easy to find, but well worth the search~
could consider a 'tamron trinity' if they release a 70-200vc =)
thumbs up for price-quality ratio

first foray into 3rd party lenses; Tamron 28-75....

+1, anyone could advice? and how much is the est cost?

The last time i send lenses to JelCorp they did a one to one exchange..

The Tamron 17-50 must be the best lens in their arsenal.. sharp wide open and super sharp at F4:confused:

Dusty car windscreen =D

Anyway, I'm satisfied with what tamron can offer; seeing is believing.

Tamron AF18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF) Macro.

Bad. Very bad.

Made me a lazy shooter who doesn't want to swap lenses on the cam. Been spending alot of time with this lens.

This lens even encouraged me try crazy things like floral dark at night with nothing but street lamps as lighting.

Top of tree, fully zoomed at 270mm, handheld:

Thanks, Tamron.

i have the tamron 18-200 and it works very well for me too, work really well as the only lens i need for travelling..

banging on my 17-35mm f/2.8-4 (nikon) for my bridal shots and schooL concerts.. =) though I have to get quite cLOse to the subject at times.. but I am happy with sharpness and the non-motor version works superb on my D80!

Just bought today Tamron 17-50 nonVC :)

wondering should sell the kit lens
