[takeshi.lum] a touched of color..

After looking through limwhow and sereneXMM's colour manipulation pictures, I've decided to give it a try on one of my shot at Japanese Garden yesterday.

I used a ND400 filter to cut down on the light, but I got an deep orange tone before the color swap and deep blue tone after the color swap. It is different from the usual tone when it is without the ND filter. Anyone can help me with this?

All comments and guidance are deeply appreciated :)

Now that is nice!
The red railings - really becomes the centre of attraction!
I have no experience with ND400 on IR.
Got to ask Lowlights...

nd400/nd110 will warm up the picture for sure.. introduce color shifts, etc.

at least for normal colour photo. not sure about ir, but should have the same result, which explains the orangey tones.

in any case, just shoot in raw, and select grass/clouds as white point, and it should come out right. :)

Bro takeshi.lum .. what you posted looks very good .. infact my daughter standing next to me say "wa .. so nice.. "

The uncommon tone that you get is normal, as the ND filter is used and light/color is "altered"

So forgive me if I am confused that you have question or doubts

Cheers

hi,

swee la..

wow..........my eyes straight to the red bridge.....

Takashi, may I know how long was the exposure while you are on ND400? Is the color shift very severe? Been contemplating to try ND with IR Modded Cam.

Lowlights, can advise some tips?

i exposed it for 1.6 secs at f8.
i find it rather severe, perhaps its because i still dont know how to correct the warm tones yet.
