108. Swedish Icon

Can't resist posting something authentically Swedish, and yet extremely familiar :) No visit to Stockholm will be complete without visiting the largest Ikea in the world, found in Skarholmen, which is just south of Stockholm. Interestingly, one thing that uniquely stood out for me is found in the picture itself. Yes, you guessed it! It's the famous Ikea hotdog. This is the only food item I've found in Sweden that is actually cheaper than in Singapore; approximately 80 cents. Furniture from Ikea is considered lower-end in Sweden, and considerably more affordable than many furniture shops found across Stockholm. That's why you'll find people from all walks of life flocking there.

109. Skyview

Taken from within the Skyview capsule, as we are ascending the half dome. IMHO, the experience was not as spectacular as anticipated, primarily the dome itself is not really high (as compared for example to the Singapore Flyer). That said, it did provide some interesting views from the top.

111. Untitled

Taken near the northern entrance of Gamla Stan. People actually fish for salmon (or was it trout ) in this river.

112. Appreciating the Arts

Digging up some old photos to share :) Taken at the Museum of Modern Art. Not sure if it's a paid or a free guided tour. Looks like it's some in-depth session, especially with people sitting down.

113. Resurrected

This ship was salvaged in 1961 and now makes its home in the Vasa Musuem. It is quite a magnificent sight.
