Sunset on the boat *Nude theme, minors please stay away*

interesting set-up. Thanks for sharing :)

#3 tops the list, no doubt.
Very flattering angle / shot of the model. Beautiful, beautiful sky to complement her.

(I'm assumeing you're not using the Sony Alpha with the built in HDR,
but took the HDR and posty edit manually)

Newbie question:

HDR photos for landscapes are straight foward enough I think:
1. Tripod
2. One -2, one shot normal, one shot +2.
(Easy...Trees and Mountains don't move )

But... (shamefully noobie question)
For HDR Portriats, do you still apply the tripod? Seems a bit cumbersome on a boat.
Also.... errr.... What? Ask model to hold Really Really Really still for the three shots??

Sorry had to ask and have to know.

I'm on Nikon & edited with raw files as Jpegs can't give you the spectrum for manipulation.

It'll be impossible to use a tripod on a small rocking boat but a monopod can be possible but too cumbersome for portraits as models will get bored with holding a pose for few seconds.

I'll post a pic later to show you how far we tilted on the sea. I normally shoot in manual, just set the shutter speed above 100 & follow the general rule for the lens's focus distance eg. 1/200 @ 200mm etc.

I also like #1, I like that the bottom of thew roof is featured in your composition.
Gives the overall picture more details without being distracting. Really gives
the whole thing a sense of place.

Thanks. I shot this with a wide angle lens & used the pop-up flash to compensate & pleasantly surprised with the result as it proves that we don't need fancy flash @ times even though I brought some.

i kinda like #2

Good series overall!

cheers,
kilkenny

Thanks :)

bro, personally i like photo no. 3 the best. however imho, for most of the photo, the missing out of certain parts of the limbs makes the photo looks rather glaring though. but i can understand that due to the space constrain, rather hard to fit all in. for the last photo, u might wan to do a tighter crop on the space on the left side though.

i like the series, but i don't really understand the need for the model to be nude. :dunno:
seriously, it would have made more impact to me if the model had some clothing on.

After seeing your work, really  Love those Cars and Gals. R U very $$$RICH$$$

Btw, I agreed, if there was something, maybe like a hat, a see through clothes or something.

Just my 2cents of thought.;)

Hi, thanks for looking & the crit. Let me have a look @ it again & see what can be done.

hi NineEleven

nice images but please just post links to the images and refrain from directing uploading the images onto clubsnap

CS Guideline about posting nude images

thanks

Hi Boss, thanks for liking them but thought the three pics that I showed are very mundane & not showing too much @ all? Will take note though. Am hoping to promote proper studies on this nature of work instead of all the gossips of hotel room shoots.

Thanks. Well, nude art has been around for as long as we are & various intepretations of it too. I like curves and shadows, if you look @ some of my works, you'll notice that I pay attention to the forms of human body, rib lines, hips, busts etc. Lighting plays a part to highlight & cast shadows to accentuate the form even better. I'm still learning & would love to hear more from anyone.

Thanks for liking my work, owe it to the community here. I'm not rich @ all but happens to know friends who are happy to help me pursue the interest. Will have more interesting stuff coming up.

Wow, DP. Thanks but it's an "overstatement" would like to listen on poses and compositions. To be honest, your hard crit makes me strive harder & think before I press that shutter. So, thank you!

Amazing setup and unique shots.. Like this series very much..:thumbsup:

Wow... Done in Singapore???

nice series, and vote for #3 too..

Thanks, I did use for some but only the pop-up flash :embrass: probably reduced the output & was lazy to hook up the speedlite as the boat was rocking all the time+raining.
