I've got a McKAL "Direct All-in-One Compact Card Reader". Reads in the latest Card formats... Should be 26 to 30 or there abouts... got mine from Challenger. This one no wire kind... just tuck in the USB connector when not in use. There are other brands too, but a bit higer priced and are wired - meaning either you need a flat platform to place it on or you'll have to let it dangle from a USB port.

hmmm, but if plug into the USB slot direct, will be kinda bulky. Likely that the adjacent slot cannot be used :think: Already my USB slots kinda full. Yet to upgrade to new motherboard with dedicated USB slots for the keyboard + mouse

I will probably prefer one with a cable based on my current use.
How's the transfer rate? Fast?

You have a point. One additional note, the USB connection is on a swivel - you can rotate the whole box based on one pivot point. Transfer rate?? Sorry I didn't check lol. Will check later

Bro ZCA, you can always get a male to female USB cable. Tt solves the problem of the bulky body blocking your other USB ports.

Second testing. 368Mbytes (class 4 SD) in 30-40 seconds...

Btw, I'm transfering the files to an external hard drive on USB 2.0.

The speed will also depends on where you transferring from, through what and to what ..... it is only as fast as the slowest .... or should i say weakest link
