But on a serious note, when wanna do a strobist outing...???

but I sorta agree with you I guess.... just ~coughing~ at the price that's all... you got it brand new?

Nah bro, i got it used bro.. 5 mths old at $400 off new peice.. Gd price, so mai tu liao :devil:

well done!
slowly arming up!

Me tempted by FX too... but will play wait and see first.
So far been quite happy with my D90. Went into famous Kolner Dom in Koln this afternoon. Quite dark. Whack ISO1600 and braced myself against column. I 'think' some shots came out ok! hehehehe

wah... wasted siah.... I saw the signboard on the Kolnmesse.... Photokina in a couple of weeks there... too bad.

eh why must wait for me...? Is there some equipment I have that I don't know about??? :)

btw can I be 'hollow man' on the 18th outing?
Don't think I can wake up so early, but possibly join you guys for breakfast.

Sure bro, come.

I think you can come early, with all the jet-lag and all, you probably won't be sleeping. :bsmilie:

As usual, I will miss breakfast on 18th

Good morning everyone!!

Let me guess... LPR sunset??

Yes bro. Very noticeable tree line. The nice sunset lasted for only a couple of minutes... after that that nice long cloud on the upper left moved away and the sky became very empty... It doesn't help that all the people around me poking in the water to catch fish...

And boy, I really need that 6 stop ND. 3 stop ND no enough....

BTW shot with Hitech ND.9 + GND.9 stacked. No color cast... sweeeee.

Wah, welcome back!
heheheh thanks!
but I'm not back yet... another few days.
Am now in the outskirts of Stuttgart. Passed by highway exit signs showing 'Porsche' and 'Audi', as well as noticing the huge Mercedes Benz logo (rotating) on a big office building. This is the motoring heart of Germany...!

wah swee bro...
I couldn't guess the location. hahaha
it's after that bridge structure?

It is to the right of the mini jetty which is to the right of that pavilion looking thing (a pump house I think).

For this shot, my tripod was in the water, and so was my feet... ankle deep but uneven rocks below... so have to watch out.

something to whet the appetite?

Got more photos in my Facebook, though only a few at the moment. Difficult to edit on laptop without mouse!

ah... I was there a few months ago... still chicken-hearted to go into the water. The brave ones get the rewards I guess! :)

why not? The only difference is what happens to the tripod some time AFTER going into the water! :bsmilie:

aiyoh.. only around half of the last section go in only mah... aluminium or carbon fiber will not corrode in water...

Unless you go deeper, then you have to worry about your flip locks or twist locks...

i've been learning a lot of material science these past couple of weeks...

surprisingly, even high quality stainless steel will corrode, if the water condition (chemical content) is suitable...

But yeah, I would definitely agree with you that reservoir water and AL/CF tripod legs, nothing much to worry about... Typical 'kiasu' mentality, that's all! :D
