Old camera, but looks new right? Comes with titanium shutters. sibeh power, the old days. Things don't break one.
And yes, that is a PC lens. I think Kit has one too. Worth a lot of money nowadays...

is antique... worth the collection and pass down to next generation (传家宝):thumbsup:

That means only me left without the decal... I saw it and didn't like it leh... a bit embarassed to stick on car. So... no point to buy. Decided not to get it.

Fatigue give it a new life izit?

~drool~....

but I've gone past film already I reckon... no longer feel much 'nostalgia' towards it... hmmm... I guess I'm not a sentimental person.
Must search for my grandfather's old Rolleiflex camera, with that "use once and bulb blows" external flash :bsmilie:
It's hidden somewhere with my grandmother... might be worth a pretty penny nowadays.

bros, need help advise on plate...

can I mount the camera on the lens plate?
(thinking of saving the money for future if getting 70~200)

after the poison keep coming back in nightmare, finally i bite the bullet order Q3E from ebuy :rbounce:

Nope. This camera has been kept in mint condition by my dad since the day he got it in the early 80s. Still works like a charm. No need to send to fatigue. ;)

We also have the top down viewfinder. so you can look down from the top. They don't make them like they used to.

I should take the film cameras out to play once in a while. But the F2as dun dare to take out. I will probably take out the Hasselblad RF or the Nikon F4.

If you get 70-200, it is best to mount on the lens collar tripod mount. The collar you can twist the lens on it one. So you can switch from landscape to portrait with no problem. No need for L plate. Just get a standard plate and leave it screwed on the lens collar tripod mount permanently

Waaaaaaaa, one by one, kenna poison... become Markins gang already.... I am still resisting.

I'm sitting in my car at Kaki Bukit now. Waiting for supplier to open shop... haha.
Coffee anyone?

Yeah, can't be bothered already. I just thought his "theory" on creep is just so wrong.

Coffee can come Gateway? Take some Kit's fav building shots. :bsmilie:

DOn't bother wit sigma 70-200 la. Go for Nikon 70-200VR2.

how true is it when the spec of the tripod say its max weight is 8KG.

I'm wondering if anybody did a test on that? Or its just for show in some sense that its usually lesser than what it states?

actually it's usually much more than rated weight.
In mechanical engineering we always have a safety factor which is rather high (somewhat in the order of 2-3 times), for things like elevators, bridges, cranes, etc.

It would be safe to say that on a stable ground, placing a 12kg weight (centred of course) on an 8kg-rated tripod would not cause it to come tumbling down.
But since kiasu-ness is the name of the game, and since a 12-kg rated tripod does not cost much more, might as well get the higher-rated one, that's all.

I didn't really argue, I thought I was just pointing out something which I thought didn't make sense to me. Maybe it does to the rest coz I don't see anyone else talking about it and I am just dumbo.

Yeah, but careful of security guards. Gateway guards are quite overzealous in chasing people with cameras one... if you bring tripod and they see you, confirm kena chased.

icicx.. cause i'm wondering what is the real stat weight the tripod can really handle. Technically it should hold the weight but practically I have some double about it.

did you mean "doubt" ?

You bring your tripod out and we test-test lor... :)
I'm sure someone has some 10kg dumbbells we can tie to the tripod to do a live load test :D

lolx.. u noe ma.. these things they test it base on their environment.. maybe without wind, the floor is ok de etc. factory environment = "Perfect Environment". We bring outside then it will be a different case. Outside got wind la, rocky road/floor/platform etc. May not be so accurate as wad the spec stat 8KG.:dunno:

lolx.. wahh.. i can let you all test test but later nummball accidentally snap hw?

lolx.. jkjk..
