you mean a SunChaser outing for newbies? ~confused~

ding, there aren't any seniors to go up up and away on wednesday... how?

Adrian aka korbidp3k has volunteered to guide, as he has shot there, but am seeking Master Jedis permission if can promote him.

I may go up (equipped with parachute for myself and my 2WD!) and be around for them.

Bro, what you mean you cannot tune the angle after lock the plate? You mean panning is it?

BTW, your ball head can remove one or not? must make sure. which ball head is that? maybe I might buy it off you, I am heavily invested in manfrotto's RC2 system.

bro DD, shall be panning. the one I have, only have 2 lock for (plate & ballhead).
If I wan to shift a bit left or right I have to release the ballhead to tune but then horizon may out this time.

So I was thinking if I have ball head with 3lock (e.g. photoclam. G20) ) will solve the problem, one to lock the horizon and the other is do the panning.

I manage to dismantle the tripod, not sure if other ball head can fix on it. Any bro ever try dismantle your tripod * ball head :p

Bro, you don't need to seek anyone's permission :)
You da man!! I'm sure the bros here agree with me :D

Kev, u go shopping 2molo? I come join u, ok?... ;p

Ok bro. No problem! :)
I don't think I can get MUCH browsing done though, since time is short. Te camera shops tend to close quite early. Don't even know if K-13 will be open at 7-ish.
My 2 shortlist shops: K13 and TK Photo :D

Woah woah... You're supposed to unscrew the entire ballhead (complete) from the tripod, not dismantle the ball :) be careful that you don't damage the ball.

This tripod looks like the 725B. This model of tripods the head is integrated to the center column. Which means, you are not supposed to be able to install any ball head to this tripod.

Tripods with removable ball heads, when removed the ball head bottom should look like this:

The tripod's screw and mount point should look like the top of this:

There is a mod out there you can do to convert this tripod to take normal ball heads, but quite a bit of work is required. I do not think it is worth it. If you really want to upgrade, I suggest you sell this tripod, and buy a new tripod and ball head (can try sirui, very nice, good pricing).

Bro... Just do it. - Nike ;)

I wanted to do a smaller Newbies outing on a weekday evening at Changi Boardwalk area. Since I work nearby, it's really convenient for me. Of course it'd be pretty much impossible for those working in town to make it.
Just wanted to let you guys know in advance.
Might just cover the simple basics of levelling and metering, and maybe if got chance, then night group photography with flash.
Tentatively will be early August.
