Errrm with regards to #2, D300s noise control in high ISO is the same as D90 and D5000.
heheheh got people can't stand me... b**ching about me in other thread...
ZCA = :hung:
hehehehe... looks like I hit a raw nerve.
Don't know what's going on there la... got halo then got la, learn and improve next time lor - nothing wrong wad. It is not even the photographer himself complaining.
hehehehe anyway I started it by criticising his landscape shot...
some people (lacking maturity) don't like to hear negative comments, so probably he went "who the **** does he think he is to comment?" and then it started lor...
Some people just prefer to play in their own sandbox. They don't like others helping them build sandcastles in their sandbox. What can you do? Let them play in their own sandbox. Clear that some just don't know how to build huts.
Like Mrs Scubagolfer said last Saturday at breakfast, let kids play with kids. Let the adults play free of headaches

Is the Sigma 50-150mm f/2.8 II still available? That's another possibility.

ok ok change topic:
just thinking aloud here...
With my current 're-org' of my dry cabinet's contents, I'm left with 12-24 f/4, 35/1.8, 50/1.8
and my dad has 18-105VR, 55-200VR, and an old MF Tamron for his FM2.
Would a 17-50 f/2.8 serve me much good in this case? I'm ok with the whole lens-changing business, so my 35 and 50 primes should do me fine.
Kinda conflicted about whether a fast telephoto zoom (eg. Tokina 50-1xx f/2.8 - forgot the long-end focal length) would suit my shooting style.
any comments?
wah.... encouraging gambling...! tsk tsk tsk!when we go outing on 21st, try yr hands @ the tables n slot machines! who knows, u might end up upgrading to scubagolfer's car! hehehehe
Yup if i remember correctly, a nikon rep told me the sensors for the 3 are the same, only the signal paths and the software processing are different, enabling the D300s to shoot faster. Makes sense that the ISO outputs are the same.i always tot it is so...maybe not then.I've checked dpreview, noise control seems indistinguishable between these 3.
then use my hands to form a telescope to shoot with?
anyone active on the stock market here...?
Looking for 'insider tips' on Coscocorp... hehehehe..
