Waaa aircraft grease. you work at Pratt-whitney ar?

The grease in the manfrotto ball heads can take very low temps. THey claim, and I've tried it. Markins may have changed.

Grease also is depends, cannot anyhow apply. don't wait apply already become frictionless ball head.... then die.

Photo Clam ball head no need grease, confirm or not? BBB!!!! :bsmilie:

ideally the limit should be both higher and lower than you can endure... :D not necessary to test it! :)

Not really offensive la. We are friends mah. Just that we do not want others to misunderstand... some people in CS is very touchy one...

Dunno man, I got my info from here:
http://www.photomalaysia.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116482

Scroll all the way down to read about the ball head... If cannot drop oil, what lubricant to use then? Notice that the ball is not glossy...

No oil... can be other material also. Like graphite cream, or other thing. Just that it is not "Oil" per say (petroleum derivative).

EDIT: The site claimed it is Teflon coating. That makes me worried. Oil or lubricant if run out or disintegrate, I can clean and re-grease. Teflon coating wear out or flake off.. then how??? hmmmmm

But does Markins mention in their product anywhere that it needs to be lubricated once in a while? I better go ask and check about Photo Clam heads...
