It's my pleasure yilin :) I hope you find it helpful.

Sharpness in terms of the pic being OOF? I need to develope the photographic eye like u guys

Hey Adrian, thanks for taking the time to teach me ur photography knowledge :) Yeah when i look back at the pics on a larger format with my com, it looks kind of squashed together too tightly. And ur rite bout the filter caz i have a few pics which was either slightly blurred or theres light reflection from the filter. I will learn to improve more on it.thx!
!

No problem Keith, happy to share some stuff with you. :)
The sharpness bro ZCA meant is the clarity of detail in the picture. It doesn't mean out of focus. Some things that can cause softness (opposite of sharpness) in the pic for example can be unstable tripod, noise reduction in pp, camera setting, etc.

Yes, this outing, the pictures are all good.. So when is next ??:)

Hi ZerocoolAstra. Thanks for commenting! sorry for the late reply was busy with school.Yep i realise i need to improve alot more on my composition as sometimes what i have in mind doesnt quite translate onto the camera.

Hi Kevil (Keith),

apologies for not being clearer with my definition of sharpness.
I felt that your photos were perceived to lack sharpness because the details didn't seem to be there. It could be due to a number of factors. OOF is just one of them. Sorry my eyes aren't finely tuned enough to tell the difference between OOF, lens sharpness, or movement of tripod :)

thanks Adrian for the explanation :)

Last Q what is really useful for back card function in sunrise?? I talk black card is useful at firework???

You can use black card technique for fireworks if you want overlaying/multiple 'splashes' in one image.

Apart from that, you can use it if the there is an excessive highlight in certain areas of a scene. Example for this is the hand/flower building next to the MBS building. During the blue hour, that particular building and the spotlights on the left will be highly overexposed because of the spotlights and it will end up as a glaring white highlight in the pic.
I used a black card to tone down the spotlight, therefore avoiding clipping highlights. I sometimes use a black card as a GND replacement too if the shutter speed is accommodating.

Hope this is answers your question :)

haha bro i still newbie how can a newbie be organising for newbie. like the blind leading the blind. :p
The problem is you think that

"organiser = senior/teacher/guide/master"

but that need not be the case.
As I said countless times before on CS, you can simply organise an outing and invite people whom you feel are more experienced in this area, and ask if they wanna come along to share.
That's how I got to know DD123, NNB, dingaroo, wildat, etc... I invited them along to outings.

Actually organizing an outing takes different skills from good photoshooting skills. It's not easy to organize outings and if you have a support group who can help you out, who are more experienced, it would be good. I will normally only organize one if last min something or someone pulls out - been doing too many of those when younger and it is very tiring. I might have one in end Oct or mid Nov as something to return to community.
