[SunChasersSG] Newbie Outing (Part 15) - Clarke Quay Sunrise 7th Aug

Bro, the above looks like it is under-exposed.

The above is over-exposed. For me, I will reduce the exposure from the over-exposed photo, then merging the two, bringing out the sky from the under-exposed photo into the over-exposed photo. But that's just me.

Btw, nice meeting you!

Wah Song, when you starting your own outing? Looks like you have attained Primary 2 already ... soon will be in Primary 3, like us!

Actually tats my evil look hinting him not to hit the shutter button

I know you bigger size than songws, but don't have to beat him to a pulp with that Gitzo and RRS ballhead!

Hi everyone, thank to DD123, NNB and all the seniors organise this wonderful outing.

I prefer #2 to #1 because the blue is more pleasing, but I still think it's underexposed.

Hmmm
Care to share what's your workflow in digital blending?

OK, take note on that. Thanks. :D

Ops... Sorry I am not sure my workflow, I just follow the wedsite step by step to come out this picture... Very ugly hah?? :embrass:

For #5, you aligned Central to be vertical, but because it's on the side of the frame, the rest of the buildings are actually not aligned properly. Should try to judge the proper alignment by using the buildings in the center of the frame.
You notice that Riverside Point, Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel, etc are not vertical?

Your #1 (and maybe#2) there is some weird pixelation in the jpg. Looks like dots or soemthing. Did you down sample the colors too much when exporting?

#5 is a little over done and horizon is tilted. Look at the bell tower.

Anyway winkoo88, good work. Your shots have improved a lot. You can be guide already. ;)

Like DD123 said, a little overdone. Can see the discrete lines past the square (tallest) building on the left side in the sky. In fact it looks like it's caused by the halo from the building. Other than that, all the buildings look a bit too bright compared to surroundings, without being overexposed, which makes it a bit fakish.

That's why I was interested in what you did - was it HDR or blended exposure from two or more pics? Or something else.

Hi Uncle Daredevil123,
Come to this thread and saw you photo!!!
Anyway, here is one I changed from this post....
I thought this black and white with some golden fills looks better on your back of the T-shirt. The gold makes the Jack Daniel better. You looking down on the floor and adjust your hat because is so bright on the floor. I think your expression fits this PP. He.. He...

You did one thing very successfully.... that is, made me almost invisible! :)
It's sorta a high-key with a sepia tone... I think it's overdone though...
Can't say I really like it.

This one is quite nice, though having the Novotel cut off like that... hmmm, not really ideal.
Probably better to pan the camera more to the right.

It's a wee bit soft too. Not sure if it's coz of overzealous reduction of image quality to fit CS gallery requirements... maybe can try Flickr or Photobucket as an image host.

Looks too hot.. like in the middle of Mojave desert... ;)

Just looking at the pic makes me sweat.

No bad bro. I like the feel of the 1st one.

The 2nd one, seems the framing is too tight, leaving too little room to the left of Central.

Hello Uncle Zerocool,

I don't understand your first sentence.
Yes is high key with Sepia using "Silver Flex Pro" Sorry you did not like it.
Is just the way I imagine with this picture.
Is late now. Talk to you again. Good night......

heheheh... well I'm in the corner of the frame.
With the PP you've done to the image, I'm almost invisible, or at least hardly recognisable... so in that regards I say "well done!" :D

But I can't say that I'm a fan of this style of processing... sorry...
