suggestion for b&s

hi guys

just a thought in my head, i've asked about this before but never actually recieved a reply so asking again...

just wondering maybe once the new servers or whatnot are in if the admins & mods might want to add an extra section to b&s that concerns editing tools...
by this i mean things like PC's, monitors, graphics pads, monitor colour correctors, etcetc

i think there is definitely a niche in the b&s market for this sort of stuff as members might be going from say a wacom bamboo to an intous graphics tablet and want to get rid of their old one...

just thinkin.. would be cool..

and yes i am trying to find a 2nd hand mac thats how the idea came about in the first place ;p

same for photo storage device - though i thought i had bought mine a while ago from cs B&S, can't remember if now it's allowed.

for mac, i think it is hard, because a mac is not a dedicated photography tool. as to the rationale though, i can't really remember why non-photographic sales are not welcomed here. maybe the mods can clarify again.

i suppose if you had non photographic items random people would be registering just to sell stuff...
and they'd be taking away business from sites like ebay haha

its pretty easily figured out though could just set parameters like you have to have a minimum of 20 posts in discussion before you are allowed to sell stuff...

yes but you do realise the suggestion is for photographic equipment.

not cameras themselves but in this day and age im pretty sure everyone does a little post processing on their computer before publishing a shot..

the primary purpose for CS is for photography. hence from the start, our Admins
have defined in the buy/sell guidelines that only photographic equipment will be listed. we can argue the whole day that computers can also be listed. i think the case has been clearly settled by the Admins that the PRIMARY purpose of PCs is not photography.

if using ur logic, sooner or later, we will have people asking cs to list LCD tvs for sale too cos we can display our photos on it too... so where do we draw the line? besides, imo, there are better places to buy/sell pcs than cs.

lets abide by the houserules set by our admins, shall we?

i think more pertinent would be setting up a 4/3 and micro 4/3 b&s section.

currently 4/3 and m4/3 stuff get cross posted in panasonic, olympus, and other brand lenses and cameras. can get abit messy sometimes.
