Just think along the line that if you are a CEO of Subway Singapore and the HALAL certification affects only 2% of your market. :)

That KFC was in Sydney. The employee was just taking advantage of others using his religion as a pretext to behave in this way.
What's the fuss when the restaurant has a clear not-halal sign.
He could have just referred the customer's request to another fellow colleague among the KFC staff, to handle that bacon request.

In this case, his religion happened to be Islam. But any other lout can behave in similar fashion using any other religion as a pretext. I do not see moderate Muslims behave this way in Singapore or Malaysia.

Ok, but there was no need to explode and shout abuse at the customer. Just tell the customer that (pork) bacon is not available in this restaurant. That is all.

By the way, there is such a thing as halal turkey bacon.

Tip of the ice berg that has been brewing for a few years now. Many European states are already deep in it. I just hope this is not going to spread here any time soon. Today bacon. Tomorrow your favorite movie, song, ideology, what you can learn, buy and selected lifestyle. 3 times I was in London and Paris and i experienced some of it first hand. Once almost came to punches all because we asked a little too much about the food we cand order and what was served. A nation's peace and harmony is a very fragile thing and we must be very careful with what we allow to take place in Singapore. A sense of fair play and understanding goes long way.

I think it is ignorant of you to be making conclusions based on just a recording alone. You should understand what transpired the during entire incident.

Well it's all about choices one can choose not to eat if it's not certified simple as that.
