Stuffs in Hong Kong... Cheaper?

will be headed to Hong Kong next month and was wondering if the lenses there are cheaper?

Anyone knows? If they are cheaper there den maybe I'll go hunting... else, dun want to waste time...

Anyone has any shops to recommend?

My friend just back from HK, according to the last week LENs price, if you convert in S$ almost are same as in Singapore, (just about 2% different), but we have got Canon Singapore warranty. I think it is save buy in Singapore. It is just my comment.

was checking ard for the canon 430ex flash last trip to hk 1 mth ago, quite a margin as compared to sinagpore. Lenses not so much if you compare to oracle's (some more oracle one is also with warranty), but can be sizeable if you couple a few lens purchases and compare to the cheapest sg shops equote. save some moola to spend on the hk trip possible.

From my understanding, for mongkok MS and WS, the price listed on the web are also the same price shown on the shelf (unlike singapore). Even with a verbal quotation for discount will probably make it lower by less than 50 HKD for flash/lenses (maybe it is just me, maybe someone does have better luck in getting better prices).

Can try out TST Tin Chexng, not bad pricing imo if you lazy of bargaining further.

Most pple are comfortable with buying lenses overseas (if they're cheaper) because they're covered under an Int'l warranty. However, the same doesn't apply to camera bodies.

If the prices are those of the "Street Price" indicated on the website, it's really tempting to get a new 400D body...
