Studying in Fast Food Outlets and Cafes

I was never not ok when anyone approached me asking if he/she could share the table and that I generally went during the off-peak hours where the place wouldn't be fully occupied anyway. Students at the least do buy something. In comparison, there are many others who hog seats at coffeeshops/food courts without even buying a single item.

What if it was a pretty gal who actually was trying to get a hit with you? You break her heart?? :bheart:

I never find Mac, etc a good place to study.. I thought void deck is better, and more quiet.... Some void deck have study corner...

School library is like a Zoo at times... lol...

The worst types are those inside the mall where they just left their bags on the chairs and books on the table and they are no where to be seen. The whole cafe is already full and no seat left which I believe the owners of the bags and books has gone shopping.

Sich phenomenon is more common in 7th month.

Got bags on the chairs and books on the table but no students. :bsmilie:

To encourage top schloars in fast food outlets maybe we should have McDonald Top Student Prize, Starbucks Top Scholar Award, Coffee Bean High Achiever, Hungry Jack's Best Student Prize etc. :bsmilie:

these would be enough to motivate me studying in fast food outlets :bsmilie:

It's not that we don't ask when the student there also order drink n food. If they auto enough, should not be there when crowd getting bigger. They just put on their ear piece n 'study' in their own world. With music going into their brain n still can remember what they study? If so, inside library talk loudly also can lor. Ha ha!

must use advance camera :bsmilie:

I think the day when camera can register MORE than faces, a lot of people will be happy (or at least a lot of people in this forum)
Imagine multi / auto br***t detection and focus lock.

Eh ...
I said I was never not ok when someone asked to share the table ;) hence I would not have broken any hearts.

Yup, void deck's a good idea. So long as there aren't anyone kicking a soccer ball around and using the dustbins as goal posts.

Free wifi and a place where friends can meet. Also these are kids who are studying not doing anything bad. They are not wasting time in gaming cafes or wasting time drinking and partying.. Its quite common in many countries like US to study or work in Starbucks and cafes. Also its for the cafe owners to decide if they allow customers to stay long duration. Not for people on a photgraphy forum to discuss which will lead to nothing in real life.

I wonder why there is a need to start a discussion on something so irrelevant.

Some major national policies have been made because of posts in this photo forum.

The decision makers contantly scan Kopitiam like this for great ideas.

And for all you know, the NSA (and don't know how many other secret agencies) might be monitoring this forum!!
